CEREC

A New Reason to Smile…

CEREC

What is CEREC ®?

CEREC ® means we can quickly and economically restore damaged teeth using a durable ceramic material that matches the natural color of other teeth in your mouth. CEREC ® is an acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.

What advantages does CEREC ® offer me?

First and foremost, the restoration can be performed in a single session, usually in about one hour. With CEREC ® there's no need for us to make an impression and send it to a lab. We won't inconvenience you by asking you to return for a second visit.

Second, the restoration is natural looking, because it is made of tooth-colored ceramic material. It's metal-free - no silver fillings to discolor your smile! The ceramic material is compatible with tissue in your mouth and is high-grade, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant. It allows us to be extremely precise and save more of the healthy part of your tooth.

About Oxford

Oxford is 47 miles north of Detroit, Michigan, and emanates a small-town feeling. The village center consists of shops, restaurants, and taverns stretching for two blocks. Notable establishments that have made contributions to Oxford are The North Oakland Historical Museum, which showcases some of the region's history, Williams Art Glass Studio, The Ox Bar and Grill, Sweet and Savory Bake Shop and Choo Choo's Chocolate. Local happenings such as athletic events, downtown fairs, scarecrow competitions, schools plays, and concert garner a large turnout throughout the year and are reported in the weekly newspaper of record, since 1898, The Oxford Leader. The area's public high school, Oxford High School, was newly expanded in 2003-2004 and now holds the title of the largest single-floor high school in the state of Michigan.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3,540 people in the village of Oxford and 16,025 people in the Charter Township of Oxford.
